Got your running shoes ready? 2nd annual race through Oregon’s famed wine country, Willamette Valley. Sunday September 4th – starting 0700 at Stoller Vineyards, rural Dayton and ending in Carlton.
Run 4 Oregon
All participants will run down Abbey Road, past the Lobenhaus Bed and Breakfast and Vineyards. We will be serving a very early, healthy pre-race breakfast for our weekend guests.
The Willamette Valley is recognized as one of the finest Pinot Noir producing regions in the world and is home to over 200 wineries. Many of Oregon’s finest wineries will be welcoming you and participating all weekend in various activities and events so plan to stay and explore on your visit. Destination Races has partnered with the Willamette Valley Wineries Association and other partners to bring you the ultimate wine and food themed destination running event in the country.

Memorial Weekend in the Wine Country
The 21st annual Memorial Weekend in the Wine Country event kicks off the summer wine tasting season in the Willamette Valley. Join us for one of wine country’s longest running celebrations when more than 160 wineries open their doors for special events and tastings.
Taste fantastic wines, meet the faces behind the labels, enjoy live music and take advantage of special wine deals! Sample special releases and tasty food pairings or take a guided tour through the vineyard.
Willamette Valley Wineries and Ecotrust have joined forces this year to support our local schools and farmers. Participating wineries will donate a portion of proceeds to Farm to School programs – bringing more healthy, locally-grown products to the school lunchroom. Join us as we support healthy kids and healthy farms this Memorial Weekend!

Ponzi Vineyards Cookbook
The Lobenhaus Bed & Breakfast is thrilled to be a winner of a signed copy of the popular Ponzi Vineyards Cookbook. We are looking forward to preparing the recipes… hoping the dishes will somehow resemble the awesome photos in the book! Perhaps you will be the lucky guest who will be treated to one of the breakfast recipes!
Ponzi Vineyards founder, Nancy Ponzi shares her experience hosting gatherings of all sizes and occasions in this unique book covering everything in the kitchen, from the basics of homemade pasta to the dos and dont’s of hosting a successful dinner party. We were honored to offer a complimentary stay at the Lobenhaus Bed & Breakfast for two retired veterans and their wives. The inn was decorated in small touches of red, white & blue… Uncle Sam smiled from his bench. The breakfast table also showed its colors…star & stripes napkins rings, flags under the plates, small glass colored stars, etc. The Menu – Patriotic Pancakes, Liberty Eggs, Old Glory Bacon, Freedom Fruit & Justice Juice. Our guests spent the holiday at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum just a few minutes down the road. Special Veterans Day events honored those in service past & current. One small thank you for the sacrifices of so many fine patriots & their families.
